Aqua Wild Africa, owned and run by Daniele Marco Pavan, is a Durban-based scuba diving course and diving adventures facilitator. Our leader, Daniele, grew up in Umkomaas on KwaZulu-Natal’s golden South Coast and started diving at the age of 16. Through Naui, Daniele did his Open Water diving course as well as the Rescue Diver course. In 2000, he swopped over to PADI and completed his Dive Masters scuba diving course – as well as specialty diving courses such as Wreck Diving.
Daniele’s first Shark Dive was with Raggies when he was 16, and he dived with Bull and Tiger sharks for the first time in 2000. He did his first tonic mobility in 2001 with a Raggie, and has dived in Italy, Cape Town, Durban and Umkomaas – making him one of South Africa’s most experienced scuba divers. In 2010, Daniele did his first Sardine Run dive and became a Shark Guide. Daniele has carried out filming and photography on Tiger Dives for African Watersport, and has participated in scientific research projects with Sharklab International.
