LA Giants

My name is Leigh Adams. I am a junior at Prairie View A&M University pursuing a degree in Agriculture with a concentration in Animal Science. I have chosen to raise rabbits because people have underestimated their potential. Rabbits have their own personalities with their own strengths and weaknesses, making them great therapy animals because rabbits use nonverbal communication. They express themselves continuously if one pays attention. Rabbits are not loud or aggressive, but they are very active beings, that are clean and can be litterbox trained.

The breeds that I have chosen are Flemish Giants and Beverens. Flemish Giants are one of the largest breeds of domestic rabbits. The Beverens are the largest breed of fur rabbits. I selected the large breeds for their durability and docile behavior. I will continue to grow my rabbitry. In time I will have more of a variety of large and unique breeds of rabbits.
