The Motortrade Life and Livelihood Assistance Foundation, Inc. (MLALAF) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization on April 25, 2001, by a group of incorporators who are interested in the improvement of the quality of life and the social and spiritual values of the urban poor. It is a family foundation. Its main office is located at TPI Bldg., EDSA corner Harvard St., Brgy Pinagkaisahan, Makati City. The foundation has 14 regular staff, 2 part-time staff, 2 seconded staff from Fundline Finance Corporation, 18 volunteers, and 7 members of the Board of Trustees.
It was first certified for 3 years on March 06, 2006, which ended on March 05, 2009. Its first Renewal was certified for 1 year on April 12, 2010, which ended on March 03, 2011. The second Renewal was certified for 3 years on August 18, 2011, which ended on August 08, 2014. Third Renewal was certified for 3 years on October 28, 2015 and which ended on August 28, 2018.
Its purposes, among others, are “to see communities that are passionate lifelong learners for the Glory of God; to be a catalyst of positive transformation, establishing community learning centers that equip lifelong learners with academic excellence and biblical values; to improve the quality of life of Filipinos and to provide educational access and opportunities to the marginalized sector of the society”. The Foundation’s programs now focus on the following areas: 1) Emotional Development; 2) Discipleship; 3) Upliftment of Life; 4) Competitive Sports & Arts Development; 5) Alternative Learning System (ALS); 6) Technical Skills Training Program; 7) Experiential Learning. The geographical scope of areas: Metro Manila, Rizal, and Bulacan
