BuildingSurveying.ie is owned and managed by Colin Fidgeon. Colin is a chartered structural and civil engineer with 20 years’ experience in construction design, supervision, and building surveying. Colin graduated from the National University of Ireland with a 1st class honours degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to setting up BuildingSurveying.ie, Colin worked for some of the top consulting engineering companies in both Ireland and the UK, including Punch Consulting, DBFL Consulting Engineers, & Mouchel.
Currently, building surveying projects comprise the majority of our work, from small-scale home inspections and pre-purchase building surveys, to larger-scale schedules-of-dilapidations.
We also provide planning and development services for both public and private sectors. We work as structural and civil design engineers on small- and medium-scale projects including schools, housing developments, and one-off house design projects.
