GE Transformer Oil Testing Laboratory

We would like to inform you of our transformer oil testing service based at the south side of Brisbane. This facility is supported by the Engineering Department of our Transformer Division and services client’s needs for testing of oil, paper insulation and SF6 gas from Distribution Transformers, Power Transformers, Instrument Transformers and Circuit Breakers.

A qualified chemist operates the laboratory and Transformer Design Engineers provide full support for detailed analysis of test results. Should the need arise we can also access further information from our companies worldwide network of factories and facilities. Currently the laboratory has NATA ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 accreditation.

We provide much more than a basic oil test facility. Our reports provide a full interpretation of results and can be tailored to the clients needs. As part of the service, the reports go beyond providing raw data, a complete story is formed by providing
• Graphical representation of historical data
• Graphical representation of data for batches of transformers
• Interpretation of raw results and trends
• Summary interpretation of transformers requiring attention and further resampling.

The oil laboratory can also arrange on site sampling inclusive of comprehensive external condition assessments of transformers.

All test results and reports can be accessed through the internet on our customer portal.
