Jason Lenz began his passion for the art of percussion in 1984 at the age of ten studying formally in private instruction with Patrick J. Flaherty and participating in music programs in the Boise.

Jason Lenz began his passion for the art of percussion in 1984 at the age of ten studying formally in private instruction with Patrick J. Flaherty and participating in music programs in the Boise, Idaho area winning the famed John Philips Sousa Band Award as a senior in High School. After High School he continued his training in the ranks of Drum Corps International (DCI) Spending time with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps (1993) and the spring of 1994 with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps.
