Elizabeth Cohen is a licensed social worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who incorporates expertise in hypnotherapy to assist clients in finding their inner power. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The New School University in 2012 and her Master of Social Work, LMSW, and CASAC-T from Long Island University at Post in 2014.
Elizabeth has been a Board Certified Hypnotist through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (I.A.C.T.) since 2003. She studied hypnotherapy with the highly acclaimed Paul Aurand, M.Ht, and Barbara Klink, M.Ht, at the Holistic Healing Center in Chestnut Ridge, NY.
Elizabeth volunteered at Safe Horizon, an organization within the criminal court system that assists women challenged by domestic violence. Also, she was the Social Worker/ Clinical Director’s Assistant at Faith Mission Crisis Center, in Jamaica, NY, helping clients battle addiction. Elizabeth went on to create HypnoWeb Inc. & The AnGedy Experience, dedicating her career to her passion for validating and teaching survivors of domestic violence & sexual abuse how to take their power back. Further, Elizabeth is the author of her personal memoir/ self help, “Frozen Through the Eyes of a Child, Triumph Over Abuse.”
