Volcano Island Haven

To tell you the Story of Volcano Island Haven, and how this place came to be, we have to take a step back to how it all began.

At this point in time, we were still living in San Diego, and Nedrra was still in her recovery period after her stroke.

Due to the extremities of her recovery period, Nedrra couldn’t work – and Daerick was very limited in how he could work too, because of how much care he was giving to Nedrra.

We were very poor, and we had no income. We were so poor that the house we had inherited from Nedrra’s parents after the passed away was in severe disrepair. There was a little add-on unit at the back of the house, and the roof was so bad on it that we had strategically placed trash cans to capture the rain that came through!
