As the proud mother of a gay son who has a partner of more than 20 years, I am overjoyed that they will soon be afforded the same rights of marriage that I have been able to bestow upon other happy couples. It is important to acknowledge and celebrate these life events. Whether small and intimate, large and formal, gay or straight, all events are equally important and I give them the same level of care attention and detail."
