The core mission of the “NOVO Cellular Medicine Institute” - Port of Spain, Trinidad is to advance our understanding of stem cell biology and to harness its potential to improve human health. We are a unique scientific co-operative dedicated to develop the power of bone marrow derived stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells to generate novel treatments for intractable diseases. We also develop dendritic and T cell immunotherapies for treatment of solid tumors.

NOVO Cellular Medicine Institute is founded to explore the true therapeutic benefits of stem cells in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Our ultimate objective is to help in devising standard clinical protocols.

Our focus is to maintain the highest levels of ethical standards in clinical trials conducted to study safety and efficacy of stem cells in accordance to good clinical practice guidelines (GCP).

All our trials are approved by the Institutional Review Board and the Independent Ethics Committee, which is Registered with NIH, USA (website www.clinicaltrials.gov ).These trials are also registered with NIH USA (website www.clinicaltrials.gov) before conduct of study.

At NOVO Institute we consider this a core competency and a significant advantage compared with treatment centers offering unregistered studies.
