Mr. Cedeño dedicates his practice to Divorce, Family Law and Criminal Defense. His firm represents clients in all Family Law matters including child support, custody, property maintenance, division and pre/post nuptial agreements. He has successfully represented many New Yorkers with divorce matters, ranging from uncontested to extremely high-net worth couples. Mr. Cedeno has extensive litigation experience and has tried numerous family law matters.
As a former Brooklyn District Attorney, Mr. Cedeno has experience handing all criminal matters, including DWI and crimes as they relate to family law matters, such as violations of orders of protection and failure to pay child support.
Since going into private practice for close to 25 years ago, Mr. Cedeño has earned a reputation for his skill, hard work and professionalism. He has been invited to lecture on family law and divorce issues for groups, including the New York State Bar Association.
Recognized as one of the top 5% attorneys, Mr. Cedeno has been selected to the NY Metro Super Lawyers list every year since 2016. He has a 10.0 Superb Rating by AVVO.
After attending the Fordham Preparatory School, Mr. Cedeño earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Scranton. He subsequently attained his law degree from Pace University Elisabeth Haub School of Law. He has been admitted to practice in the state of New York since 1994. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Cedeño gained legal experience as an assistant district attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office, where he served as a prosecutor. He later decided to change his focus to family law.
Mr. Cedeño serves on the executive committee for the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section. He is also a member
