I cannot imagine a morning without my coffee and a summer without being at the west coast of Denmark. I am tall and most of the time I have long hair and a big beard. And I am the father of two girls, Alma and Ester, who are the greatest story of my life. I live in the middle of Denmark and I consider myself very lucky to be doing what I do.

I love that my job is all about love. I’m not a sobbing romantic, but the prerequisite for the people who hire me, is love. Come on, how goddamn awesome is that. When I work, I am always surrounded by happy people.

Woodland Diaries was created for couples who are in love and adventurous at heart.

My core value is to help create an experience that is warm, comfortable and welcoming right from the very first mail. My focus is to make you feel safe and relaxed while we go on a journey together to authentically capture your most special adventure. I'll guide you and be right by your side all through the process with the understanding that this IS a big deal for you and you haven't done it before.

After photographing big, traditional weddings for many years, I decided to move away from those weddings and specialise in capturing elopements and adventure weddings all over Europe. I want people to realise, that they are not bound by rules or traditions, if they don't want to be. And that - as long as they are respectful to others - they can be and do whatever they want to.

I had a very safe childhood. And that safety was very important for my parents to pass on to me as a value, because they grew up without that. But it also meant, that I was brought up to think that we all had to aim for the safe choices in career and lifestyle. As a result everything was in boxes and you don't go outside the boxes. People where in boxes. Behaviour and beliefs where in boxes. Everything was supposed to look a specific way. At least on the surface. I am very grateful to the childhood my parents gave me. But I don't remember talking about dreams. There was never any talk about doing what you love. I don't remember talking about being outside the box. So a lot of my grown up life has been kind of rootless. Not because I wanted to rebel, I just felt uncomfortable, when I sensed being too much in a box.

And this is actually also why I no longer do big weddings. While big weddings are awesome too and absolutely the right choice for some, I have met quite many couples, who believe it is what they are supposed to do. Even if they are not feeling it. I want to show them that there is an alternative.

Today, I capture different love stories all over Denmark, Scandinavia and the rest of Europe that don't look or feel a specific way. They are all intimately beautiful and, best of all, completely unique.
