Head instructor and Jiu Jitsu de la Costa co-founder, BJJ Black Belt Joe Neurauter teaches and oversees the grappling program and competition prep, and is available for seminars, workshops and private lessons.

The youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program at De la Costa Academy aims to create extra support for parents by teaching children and young adults discipline, self-control, improved self-esteem and the ability to focus better on tasks. To this end, our youth programs are designed not only to impart a solid understanding of technique and strategy but also to model respect, discipline and grit.
Those students who show an aptitude and willingness will have opportunities to compete with young athletes of similar levels from other academies, but competition is by no means a requirement for participation.
