Description
Graduates of the Building Systems Engineering Technology program will have the technical skills and aptitude necessary to enter careers within the Engineering field. This would primarily be in the planning and design of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing model environment. Graduates of this associate degree program are prepared for careers in the planning and design of building systems (HVAC, Electrical power & data, plumbing and fire protection); they have the abilities to produce technical documents and utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to perform basic designs and layouts of system components. This 16-month program is an alternative to the traditional undergraduate 5 year Engineering pathway at a university.
AutoCAD and Revit drafting skills are heavily utilized to produce technical documents as well as 2D and 3D models for the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
