Mission
Sankata Devi is one of the prime goddess worshipped in Varanasi city. Devi is believed to be one of the manifestations of Goddess Chandi and also a sister of Vaishnao Devi.
The deity in the temple resides in 'Panch Mudra' swaroop i.e one who takes away all ills and sorrows and blesses with all fortunes and success. Devi is belived to have ten hands and the power to protect faraway husbands and to ensure their safe return.
