We're qualified by City and Guilds in dog walking, as well as trained in canine first aid, DBS checked and fully insured.



Tortoise and Hare is also a member of Narps UK, the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers, and is signed up to their code of conduct.

We offer a complimentary meet and greet session before you book any service, and always make sure dogs are suitably matched in group walks, with no more than four dogs per person.

After 20 years working for BBC News, Tortoise & Hare founder Anna decided to swap headlines and deadlines for fresh air, mud and quality time with her beloved golden retriever Saffy... and so the idea for Tortoise and Hare was born. Based in Sutton Courtney, Oxfordshire, we offer our services in Abingdon and surrounding areas.
