As a native of the Shenandoah Valley for my entire life, I have seen many changes in the area. The biggest change was all the new construction that occurred with the influx of new families moving to our beautiful area.
Having grown up in a 3rd generation family of contractors, construction techniques have always interested me. The various building styles and characteristics of a home and who has lived there over the years has often made me wonder what the house would say if it could talk. This is why I started Above Line Inspections, to become the voice of the house.
Besides growing up in the industry, I owned and operated an Electronic Security and IT integration company in Winchester for 16 years. I primarily focused on the design of Commercial Fire Alarm systems for hotels, schools and manufacturing. This also included building relationships with Building Inspectors and Fire Marshals.
I have completed numerous hours of rigorous training in home inspection, paying close attention to roofs, HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems. I have also completed many hours of Radon and Mold training.
