Justin Phillips has been working as a full time farrier for 5 years and services Hanover, Goochland, Henrico, Chesterfield, Powhatan and surrounding areas.

As a 3rd generation farrier, he grew up around horses his entire life, even competing in barrel racing as a junior. Justin got his start by apprenticing with well known farrier, and grandfather, George Phillips. Justin also apprenticed a few farriers in Florida, New York, and Connecticut before returning to Virginia to begin his career as a full time farrier.

In addition to hot and cold shoeing, we are able to provide our clients with specialty shoeing such as aluminum shoes, glue-ons, Equicast, pads, drilling and taping, as well as many other requests. We also have lots of experience with aiding in the treatment of founder and laminitis. Phillips Farrier Service has a great working relationship with area veterinarians and are happy to collaborate with them on lameness issues.
