Constance “Connie” Collman, MSN, FNP-C, is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She began her education in 1994 at Northland Pioneer College in Show Low, AZ for nursing. Upon graduation she worked at Navapache Regional Medical Center now known as Summit Healthcare as a new graduate Registered Nurse (RN) in the OB and ICU departments. Connie completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Grand Canyon University (GCU) in 2015 and received her Masters of Science in Nursing; Family Nurse Practitioner program at GCU in early 2019.Connie chose cardiovascular as her specialty after spending many years in cardiology as an RN in the acute care setting. She feels an efficient heart and cardiovascular system are so vital to person’s quality of life. She is excited to start supporting cardiovascular promotion, prevention, management and treatment options to patients in the White Mountain’s as a provider. Her practice philosophy allows her to provide a healing environment with holistic, ethical, cultural, quality, spiritual and patient centered care. She takes time to listen, being empathetic and creating confidence in her patients with a team approach plan of care.Connie is most interested in treating patients who suffer from Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Ventricular Tachycardia, Supraventricular Tachycardia and the mechanical therapies used to treat all heart arrhythmias. As a new graduate FNP, she is looking forward to becoming active in the treatment and management of Heart Failure, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Coronary Artery Disease, valvular disease and Peripheral Vascular disease. She has high hopes of reaching out and becoming more involved in the diabetic population of the White Mountains, since diabetes and cardiovascular disease go hand in hand. She hopes to focus on health promotion, disease prevention and improve the overall well-being of my patients.
