Hatemalo Kendra

Hatemalo Kendra was established with the goal of social cooperation for the development of the intellectual disabled children and youths. We are a social organization to work for children at the local community level. Our working staff are experienced, moral character, respectful of all castes, inter-generational mentoring, interracial and interfaith related to disabled children’s problem.

With the aims of developing the children both physically and intellectually and making their life easier and simple, Hatemalo Kendra has been working continuously. In our daycare, we keeps the children in a good, peaceful environment and provides them training with the primary aim of teaching them to socialize and enhance their intellectual skills:

- To run the daycare targeting to the children with the intellectual disability.
- To give suggestion and counseling service for the parents with intellectually disabled children.
- To provide physiotherapy service to the intellectually disabled children having physical disability.
- To provide informal education to the children suffering from intellectual and physical disability.
- To provide skill development training to the children with intellectual and physical disability.

Hatemalo Kendra is established under the Nepal’s Social Welfare Act with the aim of social cooperation for the professional development, making life easier and simple of intellectually disabled children and youth. It has been running a Daycare service in Budanilkantha-4, Pasikot, Kathmandu, Nepal for children and youth with intellectual disabilities.

Daycare running functions, target group and beneficiaries are:

A. Functional Method:
- Operation of Daycare for children & youth.
- Interaction with the parents of the children & youth.
- Provision of tiffin for children & youth.
- Provision of social securities for children & youth.
- Maintain hygiene and monitoring of health status of children & youth.

B. Target Group: Children & youth with intellectual and physical disabilities

C. Beneficiaries: Children & youth with intellectual & physical disabilities and their parents.
