When should you take your child to Urgent Care? Small cuts that may need stitches. Sprains. Wheezing or shortness of breath. Vomiting or persistent diarrhea. A fever. If your child has a symptom that cannot wait for your primary care physician, If it is a serious medical emergency, call 911 or go to the emergency room closest to you.
