The Fashion School in Chelsea loves responsible fashion and creative individuals who want to change a way of thinking. We hate mass produced fast fashion and the mess it’s making of our world. We want to teach you fashion, fabrics and the big wonderful picture. Not just sewing but the journey of your fabric and how to design. We recognise each little lovely is an individual with their own unique approach to sewing and design. You are our fashion future and we want to equip you with life skills to support your inspiration!

We have over 35 years of experience at the top end of fashion and education, enabling young innovatives to design and sew using fabrics that have a traceable history. Our classes are within our high end holistic fashion making shop selling beautiful quality fabrics that are either organic, sustainable or from a British Mill or Supplier. You can buy your fabrics from us, learn about its origin, then design and make something magnificent to wear knowing you are doing a good thing. (You are very welcome to bring your own fabrics you might have in a cupboard or recycle something from home – it’s all good.)

We love beginners and all fashionistas with some experience.

Beginners – learn to sew using our 20 year proven method by making an easy-peasy pair of Liberty fabric fabric shorts in the finest Tana lawn cotton. All our lovely and enthusiastic staff have degrees in Fashion/Textiles and are DBS checked.

Experienced students will be supported by over 100 of our specially designed patterns to get you started as you embark on your own design.

Our classes take place in tandem with our fashion fabric store where children and parents can buy their future fabrics from us once they finish their shorts. All our fabrics are either organic, sustainable or sourced from British mills and suppliers. Children are also welcome to bring their own fabrics to classes too. We also run fun fashion trips and parties! (Sundays 12pm-3pm. Get in touch here)
