Alan Franzi MS, C-IAYT, PAS, brings over 25 years’ experience providing individual and group Yoga classes and therapeutic Posture and movement in the Guilford, and Madison, and New Haven shoreline area of Connecticut.
Over the last 30 years Alan has adapted and evolved in his personal practices to meet the changing needs of his body, circumstance and phase of life . He has learned change, growth and well-being are possible for everybody at any age and this has continued to inspire his dedication to share these insights in his teaching.
As a result, his group classes and therapy programs offer a unique mix of the classic and the new in Yoga, meditation and movement practices. He teaches with the focus on self-acceptance and a judgement- free sense of fun and exploration as he helps his students evolve toward their goals of flexibility, tone, stress relief and overall fitness and wellness. As his students so often comment, his at times subtle, and it is this subtlety and depth which give it its unique power to offer the possibility of an even wider range of fitness and wellness benefits than imagined.
His passion toward helping those in his care get the most out of life through all he has learned is also apparent in the specialized therapy and class programs he has developed to help those with significant chronic pain or other musculoskeletal problems. This "Pain Free Posture" therapy work helps people with chronic pain, back pain conditions such as, sciatica, stenosis and scoliosis, muscle and joint pain and many other musculoskeletal issues address and resolve the root cause of these problems and get on their path toward a more pain free life and full life.
