The Creative Guitar School in Sydney and Wollongong offers structured guidance, through guitar courses and lessons, to those guitarists who wish to explore their natural talent, and uniqueness through their creativity, in order to shine and feel good about life.

From Beginner to Advanced
The Creative Guitar School caters for guitarists and songwriters that wish to develop their own personal style in playing contemporary music.

After completing the first two levels, you will be able to choose any song you like and figure out on your own its chords and melody. You will learn how to play solos and perform in a group as lead or rhythm guitar. Furthermore, you will also learn how to compose simple songs.

This is all great fun, and it requires a structured pathway and your commitment to learning.

In Levels 3 and 4 you will learn how to play blues, jazz, flamenco, how to create unique solos, impressive backing tracks and beautiful compositions that reflect your inner voice

ARTIST AND PERFORMER

Thomas has released five solo instrumental albums in contemporary Jazz, Blues and Flamenco styles. His latest release Spanish Breeze debuted at #36 on the Top 50 JazzWeek World Music Album Charts in 2010 and was #32 on the College Music Journal Jazz Chart. The album features Grammy nominee Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Grateful Dead) on Bass, Dave Garfield (George Benson) on Keys, and Walfredo Reyes (Santana) on Drums, and was produced by Grammy nominee Bruce Sugar (Ringo Starr).

Level 4 The Craft of Accompaniment 101 (Group only)
Get a CLEARER band sound with applied arranging skills to the GUITAR. Learn the craft, learn how create the correct groove, and above all how to hear the melody in relation to the chords- Learn how to write for:
– Two Guitars and Vocal
-Two Guitars Bass and Vocals
-One Guitar Vocals and Drums, etc……
with Balanced Chords, Spreads, UST, Ostinatos , Pedals, Open Closed Triads, etc…


Level 3 – Styles & Improvisation
It´s time to improvise, create good grooves, play expressive solos and expand your creativity. For this purpose you will develop solid technique, a thorough understanding of chord scale relationships and a set of practical tools for improvisation in a variety of styles: Blues, Jazz, Pop, Funk, Flamenco, Latin Music.

Level 2 – Hear and Play
After completing the first two levels, you will be able to choose a song you like, figure out it’s chords in any key, play the melody, play a simple solo and perform the song in a group setting as lead or rhythm guitar. Furthermore you will also be able to compose simple songs.
This is all great fun, and it requires a structured pathway and your commitment to learning.
