Sobre United World Academy
United World Academy (UWA) in association with Repton School, U.K., brings to India a truly international school serving the local and international community of Bangalore. Repton School was established in 1557 and is one of the UK’s most famous independent schools with a strong network of international schools. We aim to be a visionary and outward-looking centre of excellence, rooted in the best traditions of British education, whilst simultaneously reflecting the energy and vibrancy of India.
Missão
An education at UWA is forged on a focus to prepare our young people for a life beyond the school gates.
We live in exciting times. Now, perhaps more than ever, we need individuals and organizations that are prepared, equipped and confident enough to embrace the challenge of the future.
Our mission is to instill in our students the capacity, insight, and knowledge they will need to inspire real change in later life. By challenging our students to treat others at least as well as they would wish to be treated themselves and by exposing them to diverse opportunities and experiences, our hope is that they will develop resilience, adaptability, compassion, and humility in equal measure.
Every UWA student is different and recognition of this fact will underpin all that we strive for at the school. As a result, Pastoral Care is afforded equal value to the Academic and the non-taught curriculum. Our young people deserve to explore and learn within a supportive environment and they must do so knowing that their teachers will be there to accompany them on that journey.
Although each student is an individual and must be treated as such, we want them all to have certain traits in common. Specifically, we want them to have the confidence to embrace the challenge of the future and the capacity to make their own positive impact on the world.
We believe in coeducation. More than 80% of the world's great schools are coeducational. The world has shifted. The world of work, the world of education, the world of employment and the world of leadership has changed considerably in the 21st century and we will prepare our students for a future that will be far less defined by gender roles than in the past.
We are blessed in this country to have a number of very good schools. The purpose and intent of these schools often resemble each other, so parents ideally want to find the point of difference. For this reason, I warmly welcome you to visit us and discuss whether this jus
