Mr Khan has completed formal fellowship training in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He completed fellowships in reconstructive microsurgery at The Royal Marsden Hospital and The Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA. His specialist interest is in breast reconstruction and lymphoedema surgery, but he is experienced in performing reconstructions across a range of cancer types such as skin cancers, sarcoma and thoracic cancers.
Mr Khan maintains a strong academic practice and is an honorary associate faculty member at The Institute of Cancer Research, London. His research interests include breast implant capsule biology (including capsular contracture and breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL)) and the clinical evaluation of surgery for lymphoedema.
