I’m Emerson Ferreira, founder of The Red Umbrella Painting Company. I arrived in this great nation in 1998 with the intention to learn English and make some money to afterword go back to Brazil and finish studding in business administration. As young man, I was very impressed with all the opportunities and possibilities it was presented to me. My first job was at a Restaurant, were I stayed for 5 hard work years, but it wasn't my passion. After that, I had my first job as a painter, working with my hands, transforming, saving money, making things beautiful again it was a wonderful feeling. Few years later I joined a bigger structured painting company which I worked for another 13 years. I started as helper, then painter, master painting, crew leader, project manager, salesman and I was reward with some partnership. Over there I had a pleasure to meet Marlon de Miranda, the most honest, talented, humble and hard-worker man that I ever met. We share the same visions and passions for the craft.
