Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Erdem was born in 1976 in Hatay. He graduated from the Istanbul Medical School of Istanbul University in 2002. When he completed his medical education, he started to work as an assistant doctor at İstanbul Bezmialem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital. He finished his specialization in General Surgery in this hospital. After 2008, he started to work in various hospitals as General Surgery Specialist.
