Dr. Cedeno completed a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle at the Chestnut Hill Hospital/University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, focusing on foot, ankle, and leg surgery. He worked under the direction of renowned podiatric and orthopedic surgeons.
In 2009, Dr. Cedeno completed an exclusive AO International Trauma and Reconstructive Foot and Leg Fellowship under Dr. Kaj Klaue, MD, in Lugano, Switzerland. He has served and continues to serve as a principal investigator in many clinical research drug and medical device studies. This work keeps him at the forefront of new technologies that allow him to help his patients.
Dr. Cedeno is Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Cedeno is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Florida & Virginia Podiatric Medical Associations. He is an Associate of the American Podiatric Sports Medicine Association.
Dr. Cedeno has completed the AO North America Podiatric Basic and Advanced courses, ACFAS Surgical Skills in Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy course, Arthrex Surgical Skills in Sports Medicine Injuries course, The Annual University of Texas-San Antonio course in External Fixation, Stryker Podiatry Product Training course, Arthrex Advanced Foot & Ankle Training course, Wright Medical Advances in Foot & Ankle Surgery course, Wright Medical In-Bone II Total Ankle course, Tornier Salto Talaris Total Ankle course, and the STAR total ankle course.
