Individuals who wish to seal their record can do so by applying to the Parole Board of Canada for a record suspension (pardon) and/or a record destruction (expungement). Those who would like to travel to the United States without a pardon can obtain a US Entry Waiver. When a pardon or expungement is granted, no record of your charge or conviction remains public, and a US Entry Waiver ensures that you will be unhindered in your travel to the United States as you have been prescreened by U.S. Homeland Security for Entry.
