IRTE's journey since 1991 has dwelt upon developing infrastructure in the fields of traffic engineering, public participation & building awareness.
Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE), a non-profit organization, was formed in December 1991 by interdisciplinary group of members including educationists, doctors, journalists, engineers, ex-servicemen, architects, automobile experts and members of the police etc. with a single aim to make the Indian roads safer for those who use them.
任务
The aim and objectives of the IRTE have been to improve the basis of safety in traffic management by catalysing capacity building of government and non-government organisations. This has been possible through our indigenous research as well as sharing and learning of best practices and collaborating with governments and academic institutions across the globe.
